Clearing out the Basement

iSpeech.org

Hello Dear Ones

November has arrived and it’s the time of year when there seems to be the right amount of chill in the air, accompanied by the magic of falling autumn leaves.

November has a peaceful vibe, slowing us down and giving us the opportunity to reflect on where life has brought us to this point.

It’s the month of transition from autumn into winter and acts as a catalyst of setting in motion new beginnings and heralding in a new chapter. The powerful energy of the month empowers us to tap into our personal soul mission, allowing for a deeper connection to our spirituality.

We have a potent new moon in Scorpio this month bringing in an ending and the start of something new.  It is important to identify what is ending and what you wish to bring to life.  Whilst cleaning out the basement to make room for newness, it is good practice to keep a gratitude journal (see below Wolfs Tip).

This month’s Oracle forecast (at the bottom of the email) is very apt ‘The Eye of the Needle'  The invitation is to make sure you leave behind what you don't need when clearing out the proverbial basement.

By using the powerful vibration of this months energies we can take some time to reflect on our life. Remembering we have everything we need to move forward and grow at our disposal; all we have to do is look deep inside ourselves. In times of transition, it is important to be present, awake and alert.

Sending you all so much love!

Note:  Belinda and I will be taking a break over December and January, so our next Newsletter will be in February.  We will keep you updated, on events and other happenings over the next couple of months.

Awaken your Inner Witch (Begins 16 January 2022 )  1 Space left

Long ago, Witches were the village healers, sought after for their wisdom and intuitive natural healing abilities.  They were the medicine women, the midwives, the visionaries, the story keepers and guardians of the feminine mysteries.

This magical icon holds deep feminine power and wisdom!  Women can work with this archetype to reclaim their innate power and sovereignty.

Join Belinda and Fionn for our 3 part workshop where we will explore our own source of electrical magic and awaken our inner witch!

If you feel a YES to join us..... More details here.

Re-Ignite your Light Retreat (18 - 20 March 2022)

Join Belinda and Fionn for a retreat in the Highlands of Scotland.  We will say goodbye to the winter on the Friday by connecting in with the Cailleach for wisdom and on Saturday, we will be welcoming back the spring and opening our hearts to Brigid to re-ignite our light.

Our intention is to host this retreat on the beautiful and mysterious Arran; however, we are still in the planning phase of bringing this retreat to life but do let us know if you are interested in joining us, so we can keep you posted on the plans.

If you feel a YES to join us..... More details here.

I am on holiday at the moment and as usual, the to-do list is way too long and I am not getting to anything. Today however I did get to something that I have wanted to do for a long time. I went wild swimming. In South Africa, we just call it swimming, but here it is a very different experience.

It was raining today, just like it has been for several days. We made a small fire on the beach where we sat and drank tea before we changed and then Anna, our guide, explained to us that we must remember to breathe out. That is the trick. And she was right. We stayed in the water for around 3 minutes and when we came out it was like there was a fire in my belly.

It was such a simple experience, it made me feel alive and very happy.

Go and have a look at Wanderwoman if you would like a similar experience.

Today is 2 days before the rule of the Cailleach starts. It is time to go deeper, it is time to rest and explore what sits in those shadows just at your edge.

On Sunday night, Samhain, we will be doing the Crone at the Goddess workshop. She is a fitting goddess to work with on this evening, not just because this is when her rule starts, but also because we have a few events over the next 6 months where we will explore her.

The Cailleach is a challenge, she brings old age and death. Both are things we struggle with in Western society, but looking at them through the lens of this archetype helps us understand how to use these energies in our own life. Through this work, we will find little gems.

With lots of love

Self-love.  What is self-love?

The Dictionary tells us that Self-love is:  regard for one's own well-being and happiness.

We know that self-love motivates us to make healthier choices in life. When we hold ourselves in high esteem, we are more likely to choose things that nurture our well-being and serve us.

How many of us neglect our own care?  Many of us.  I know I do.  Regularly.

As I look back over my journal for the last year, I see this has been a common theme of something I neglect.   The pandemic has found us all finding different ways to cope, with some of our favourite activities being restricted and perhaps some of these coping mechanisms have not served us well.

I often reflect on how much like my Dad I am, I know I have lots of his positive traits, but equally, I have acquired some of his not so positive traits, like not resting and enjoying some playtime.  This is not his fault, because in this patriarchal world we value doing more than we value the need for rest and play.  The pandemic has amplified this shadow aspect of myself and in the past couple of weeks this theme has become a loudspeaker in my ear, and I am now taking slowing down and playtime, seriously.
Last weekend, I literally dragged myself out to dance - I have not been on the dance floor for 2 years.  The dance floor and dancing my heart dance, Kizomba, has always been my happy place, where the stresses of the day, the week dissolve in the distinct beat of Kizomba tunes.  Where the connection with your dance partner is like floating on air as you move around the dance floor in heart connected unison.  To my surprise, my resistance to being out melted. It felt so good to reconnect with old friends and feel the music melt away my tension and put a smile in my heart and on my face.

As we descend into the darker months and crone season, this is the perfect time to practice more self-love, go inwards and rest as we cosy in for the colder weather.

When we practice self-love, let's care for ourselves the way would care for another with kindness, patience and gentle compassion.  Don’t settle for any less than you deserve.

Go and find your happy place on the proverbial dance floor of life!  It is so important for the soul to play and for your wild heart to smile!

Love and Blessings

The Owls Witchy Tip

As I am writing this COP26 is about to start. Who knows whether all that talking will actually achieve something? Each and every one of us can add something to solving this very man-made problem we have, however small, it helps. I am trying hard to reduce my plastic use, it is not an easy thing to do, but today I wanted to share an oil I make to put on my hair before I wash it.

We have been using a shampoo bar for several months now and this oil is a good addition to my hair care routine. It is a very simple mix of coconut oil, warmed with some rosemary chopped finely and a few drops of rosemary essential oil.

I just keep a jar of it in the bathroom and once a week I will give my scalp a good massage with the oil before I shower and wash my hair. For me it is a good alternative to conditioner and does not involve any plastic packaging.

The Wolfs Wild Tip

Having a daily gratitude practice is a wonderful way to improve our quality of life; it makes us happier. Gratitude offers us a pause, to reflect on what we have in our life right now.

Gratitude offerings is also wonderful way to honour the universal flow of life and abundance in the world, while cultivating gratitude in our lives.

A gratitude offering is any form of energy directed to someone without an agenda.

This a practice you can do monthly and offer anything you like to whomever you like, whenever you like. Give something to whoever pops into your mind first.

Ideas for a gratitude offering:
Bless a tree
Give a flower to a stranger
Burn a candle for the spirits
Send well wishes to your ancestors
Give someone healing
Babysit a friend’s kid
Help someone with a project

Be creative. Be generous. By giving you are participating in the universal flow that sustains all.

Tarot Card of the Month

Basement, eye of the needle

Eye of the Needle – Shamans Dream Oracle

When going through the eye of the needle, make sure you leave what you don't need behind - Terrence McKenna

What an apt card for the month of November! In order for the threading of the needle to happen, everything not in alignment with your goals needs to go.  The only way to way to get what you need is with shrewd discernment and the willingness to winnow down the needle-thread connection to its essence.  Stay true to your desires this month, so you are laser-focused on the experience of creating and manifesting.

Wishing you a peaceful November.

21 Day Cacao Challenge – Becoming a Cacao Tree (Day 21)

iSpeech

The intention for this journey was to alchemise stress and anxiety into peace and harmony.  Whilst this challenge has come to an end, the journey never ends.  Cacao is a wonderful facilitator and guide to transformation.

Today’s ritual is to become a Cacao Tree. We are all unique and we need our own perfect conditions to flourish, and we need to recognise the conditions in which we thrive, so that we can find our peace and harmony.

We were invited to get creative after we had consumed our Cacao.  Every part of the Cacao Tree represents a part of us and we were invited to journal against the following points:

  • The Roots represent Who You Are.
  • The Trunk represents your Sense of Self.
  • The Branches represent your Creativity.
  • The Leaves represent your Blessings.
  • The Cacao Superfruit represents your Emotional and Mental Wellbeing.

We can only grow strong if we are deeply root in Mother Earth, know that we are an intrinsic part of the web of life.

Rebekah, reminded us that trees take years to grow, which is a lovely reminder for us to be patient with our process.

What a beautiful practice to end our 21-day Cacao journey together.

A tree has roots in the soil yet reaches the sky.  It tells us that in order to aspire we need to be grounded and that no matter how high we grow, it is from our roots that we draw sustenance.

Wangari Maathai

#incacaowetrust

Daily Intention:

To become like a tree.

What am I Grateful for today?

This 21 Day Cacao journey.

One thing today that made me feel ‘I Love my life’:

Knowing that I am part of something bigger.

How did I follow my intuition today (with what results?)

My intuition served me well today. I knew today there would be an email coming in that would be asking me to take on work that does not sit with our team.  The email came in.  Which nicely sets the tone for how we manage our process in the future.

What Physical Changes are taking place?

I am still feeling physically well and strong.

Daily check in questions:

What difference did this Challenge Make to my day?

Keeping me grounded and centred.

How is this challenge helping me achieve my goals?

It's been good to recognise when I am off centre, so that I can recalibrate.

How is this challenge impacting my relationships with nature, myself and other relationships?

I am feeling grounded and in my personal power, which has had a positive impact on me and this vibrates out to others.

21 Day Cacao Challenge – My thoughts so far… (Day 20)

Text to Speech Voices

As I said at the beginning of this journey, this challenge was soooo much more than just drinking Cacao.  Each day, taking time to slow down to and connect with myself ahead of the day’s agenda, has brought more harmony to my day. I have felt more deeply attuned to myself, more energetic and mentally alert.  Opening my heart to the wisdom of Cacao has been transformational, it felt like a nurturing grandmothers hug.

Opening the door to her transformational magic has not only had a softening affect in my daily life, but a physical impact as well… I have had more stamina to get through the day, I feel physically stronger, and more mentally alert.

By understanding her history as a powerful plant medicine, a spiritual gatekeeper and loving facilitator, who is making a resurgence after being undercover as a candy for 150 years, I can now truly appreciate what the Mesoamericans understood this plant medicine to be, even without our advanced ideas.

I feel like I am blooming, and it’s a beautiful space to be in.

Transformation is a journey, without a final destination.

Marilyn Fergusson

#incacaowetrust

Daily Intention:

To ground myself

What am I Grateful for today?

Amazing Friendships!

One thing today that made me feel ‘I Love my life’:

Enjoying watching a sunset with a wonderful friend.

How did I follow my intuition today (with what results?)

Going to the beach, to spend time in a space that would bring grounded and appreciation for mother earth.

What Physical Changes are taking place?

Skin is glowing and more supple.

Daily check in questions:

What difference did this Challenge Make to my day?

It brought me back to a grounded place.

How is this challenge helping me achieve my goals?

I have become more in tune with the energies and cycles of the moon and am practicing keeping myself grounded when we head into the full moon vibes.

How is this challenge impacting my relationships with nature, myself, and other relationships?

I am more aware than ever of when I need mother nature’s healing and nurturing, which means I make time for this connection.

21 Day Cacao Challenge – Going with the Flow (Day 19)

Text to Speech Demo

It’s sad to say that I am nearing the end of this expansive journey with Cacao; however, it does not mean that the journey ends.  The journey never ends, the adventure of growth and following my heart continues.

What does it mean to go with the flow…?

Going with the flow is not a passive response to what is happening around us.  When we go with the flow it means that we act from a space of authenticity and that we honour our own personal rhythms as well as the rhythm of the natural world.

I like how Rebekah describes this in her email:  An apple tree doesn’t cry in December because it can’t produce fruit, it automatically trusts nature and waits patiently for the right time.

Instead of push, push, pushing, we instinctively know when it’s time to slow down and have patience.

When we want something to happen in a specific way, by a certain time, we can find ourselves disappointed by these kinds of expectations are not met.  Life then becomes difficult resulting in stress and anxiety

I also think there is a bit of confusion about what going with the flow means, so for me there is:

Going with the flow and there is ‘Going with the FLOW’

When we go with the flow, we tend to make decisions to keep life comfortable and avoid conflict, by not rocking the boat.  This is often associated with conflict avoidance.

We may not be consciously aware that we are outwardly focussed on other people’s needs and expectations, or that we have lost touch with our own needs.  Which really means that we are probably flowing in someone else’s river or a few different rivers and allowing other people’s agendas to dictate our flow.

When we go with the flow, this really means we are not taking responsibility for our own lives or getting clear on what we want or need.  We are bystanders, because we have bought into the idea that we are meant to go with the flow.

Growing up in a Cult Organisation, I spent the better part of half my life dancing to someone else’s tune.  Like a little puppet dancing to everyone else’s expectation of me, resulting in people pleasing behaviours and supressed anger, the discord with in me was immense.  When I discovered a beat that resonated with my heart and started to dance to my own tune, it was so addictive, I wanted more.   This is when I hit the rapids of family upset and discontent.  It didn’t stop me following the call of my heart…

When you dance to the rhythm of your own beat…. Magic happens!

You read more about my story here

When we Go with the FLOW, we surrender to the ebb and flow of not only our personal cycles, but that of nature and we synchronise with the natural intelligence and FLOW of the universe.

We set our intentions and let life guide us to where we want to go. Going with the FLOW helps us to become intimately aware of who we are at our very core, enabling us to listen to our soul messages and honour what we hear.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

Lao Tzu

#incacaowetrust

Today's Ritual… This 21-day ritual challenge started in the knowledge that it takes 21 days to break a habit.  During this time, I have forged a deep and profound relationship with Cacao and let go of what no longer serves and a deeper habit of Going with the FLOW has formed.

The more that I lean into Going with the FLOW and trusting that the universe has my back and that everything happens in divine timing, brings me a feeling of contentment.

When we begin to trust that life is unfolding as it should, we can relax and start to see miracles begin to happen.

As part of your daily spiritual practice begin asking: What is my heart’s desire? What inspired action arising from my soul am I meant to take today?

Share a comment below… I would love to hear from you!

Daily Intention:

To GO with the FLOW.

What am I Grateful for today?

The gift of life.

One thing today that made me feel ‘I Love my life’:

Being able to support people with deeper healing.

How did I follow my intuition today (with what results?)

By responding to an immediate thought, and the person very much needing what I had message them.

What Physical Changes are taking place?

I am feeling strong.

Daily check in questions:

What difference did this Challenge Make to my day?

I feel like I am blooming.

How is this challenge helping me achieve my goals?

With my newfound confidence I have been feeling of late, I am feeling more inclined to share my voice and have been creating recorded content as well as going live on socials.

How is this challenge impacting my relationships with nature, myself and other relationships?

I also hear myself speaking about my passions with more confidence.  I can feel my own change of vibration, which has had a profound effect on me in the knowledge that I am an intrinsic part of the Universe.

21 Day Cacao Challenge – Partipation (Day 18)

iSpeech

Rebekah designed this challenge so that we could work with the Cacao spirit to push us out of our comfort zones and set sale towards our dreams.

Many of us seem to mosey on through life, believing our truest desires are just distant dreams.

We tend to endure the Work, Eat, Sleep repeat, routine and find ourselves walking around functioning from our neck up and not participating in what life has to offer.

Showing up for your life means actively participating in our own life rather than hiding and going through the motions.

When we show up and start participating in life, we begin to feel inspired to take action to bring our dreams to life.

Once we align with our true purpose, we begin to feel a profound sense of peace.  When we aligned without purpose, it gives us an opportunity to appreciate the choices, challenges and even the hardships we have experienced, because this is what shaped you into who you are today.

Living in alignment with our purpose means that we are vibrating at a frequency that matches that of your soul's intention and the universe reflects that right back at us, amplifying our manifestation powers!

What we think, and what comes back at us, is always a vibrational match.

When we are living in alignment with our purpose and we have a clear vision of what we want to create, life seems to just flow, and things fall into place.

You feel free to be you and your authentic simply shines!

"Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you."

Marianne Williamson

Today's Ritual, is to write down everything I am fearful of and to be honest about those fears that stopping me from living my dreams.  Then we close our journals and take some deep breaths and tune into the spirit of Cacao for guidance and support and ask her if our fears are rational and write down our any guidance received in our journals

FEAR = False Expectations Appearing Real

Let’s not let our fears get in the way of living our dream.  Rebekah encourages us to use the powerful medicine of Cacao to challenge and push us beyond fear.

Life is meant to be lived NOW.

All we need to do is participate in the adventure.

What are you waiting for!

Daily Intention:

To go with the FLOW.

What am I Grateful for today?

My resilience – how quickly I bounce back these days.

One thing today that made me feel ‘I Love my life’:

Being able to look back on the past year, two years, even the past decade and see my personal expansion and growth – I am excited to see what the next year brings.

How did I follow my intuition today (with what results?)

Learning to quiet the mind and the inner dialogue can be hard, but when we let go, slow down and follow our intuition – that’s where the magic is.  Having your head full of stuff, can cause a disturbance in the force… so I listened and took a nap!

What Physical Changes are taking place?

My physical and mental stamina is growing daily.

Daily check in questions:

What difference did this Challenge Make to my day?

I feel more and more resilient, and I feel myself detaching more and more for the external dramas.

How is this challenge helping me achieve my goals?

The more I give myself space to connect with myself, my intentions, and goals… the more I am attracting the right people into my life, to move my goals and passions forward.  I am glowing.

How is this challenge impacting my relationships with nature, myself, and other relationships?

Still slowing down and learning to listen not only with my ears but my heart has been soul expansive, and my relationships are being affected positively.

21 Day Cacao Challenge – A New Vision (Day 17)

https://www.ispeech.org

Today we were invited to create a vision board and start focusing our attention on what we want to manifest after the 21-day challenge.

The idea is to keep what we want to manifest clear and simple. The intention is not to just focus on tangible, physical things, but our internal wealth as well.

What we focus on expands, so setting an intention activates receptivity.

So what is a vision board anyway and why make one…

A vision board is a creative process, using visual imagery, that clearly defines our intentions for what we want to create in our life, so we can grow and transform.

Visualisation is one of the most powerful mind exercises we can do, because we are emitting a powerful frequency out into the universe.

By creating a sacred space that displays what we want to manifest, not only does it bring this to life visually, but we are giving a clear message to the universe.

There are timelines on a vision board, so we do need to be patient and trust.  When we are vibrating in alignment with our intentions… our manifesting abilities are on hyperdrive!

The idea is to create a ritual and spend some quiet time tuning into cacao and listening to our intuition and getting clear on what we want to create.

Then get creative and allow the spirit of Cacao to lead the way, giving space for random desires that pop up.  Then all we need to do is find an image that resonates with the idea and paste it to our vision boards.

Hold the Vision Trust the Process!

What is needed to create a vision board…

  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Catalogues
  • Postcards

You are looking for words, images, or colours that resonate with you.

  • Cardboard (A3 or 11x17, but really the bigger the better!)
  • Scissors
  • Glue

If you fancy getting very creative, here are some other ideas:

  • Stickers
  • Wrapping Paper
  • Fabric
  • Markers, crayons, pastels
  • fabric or ribbons
  • maybe stickers, gems, or sequins!

The idea is not to create a vision board and put it under the bed.  No, it’s what you want to create, so it deserves a special place, where you can see it on a daily basis.  Place it where it is visible, in your office, studio or even next to your bed.  How about making it your screen saver!

#incacaowetrust

Daily Intention:

To have fun!

What am I Grateful for today?

Lunch times!  I was able to spend time making my vision board!

One thing today that made me feel ‘I Love my life’:

Today, it feels like everything I have been working towards is coming together.

How did I follow my intuition today (with what results?)

I am learning to listen to what my body when it comes to food, which is helping with energy and clarity of mind.

What Physical Changes are taking place?

Each day I feel more expansive, and my stamina is returning.

Daily check in questions:

What difference did this Challenge Make to my day?

Life feels so much easier, when we allow ourselves to flow and not get caught up when things don’t go our way – this too shall pass.

How is this challenge helping me achieve my goals?

I keep doing the work, even though I don’t necessarily see the immediate results, I don’t give up, know that my vibrations are rippling out into the universe and my hard work will pay off.

How is this challenge impacting my relationships with nature, myself, and other relationships?

I feel myself daily slowing down and often taking my time to respond, ensure that my response is from my heart.

21 Day Cacao Challenge – Communicating with Plants (Day 16)

https://www.ispeech.org/text.to.speech

The last two weeks I have been deepening my relationship with the Spirit of Cacao and she has supported me through my personal inner alchemy of transforming aspects of myself into truth and love.

How to communicate with Plants…

Plant Spirits carry codes and healing properties.  This week’s practice is to tune into our surroundings, to the tree outside your house to going outside in nature and practicing deep listening.  We can only hear what nature has to say when we have silenced our mind.  This week the invitation is to use Cacao to find our inner silence so we can tune in and decipher Mother Earths messages.

Shaman Durek in his book Spirit Hacking, gives some great hints and tips on how to log into nature.  He believes that Nature is a powerful teacher and a powerful ally.  Most people have no idea how much wisdom or knowledge, power and healing nature has to share with us because most people are so busy logging into their smart phones and social media feeds.

Logging into nature activates our connection with the nature spirits and opens up the communication channel.

Today’s ritual is to communicate with plants… after drinking our cacao, I headed out for a walk and found a tree that is vibrant and colourful, one that stood out for me, this is how plants call to you, by glowing at you.

We were invited to approach the plant with kindness and sit next to it, to observe the plant, it’s smell and patterns.  To silence the mind and tune into the plant and to become aware of what we are experiencing and if there are any messages from the plant. And to write our experience down in our journal.

My experiences:

One of the things I have noticed during this challenge, is that my plants are flourishing, and the animals and birds are more active in my garden.  The Squirrels have been intent on trying to communicate with me too… coming right up to the window and sometimes licking the windows!  Epic little creatures!

The more we tune into nature, the more the birds and animals will see us as nature.

We are part of the Earth, and it is part of us.

Native American Quote

#incacaowetrust

Daily Intention:

To connect with nature and hear their messages.

What am I Grateful for today?

The sweet taste of an apple.

One thing today that made me feel ‘I Love my life’:

The joy of being able to watch a baby squirrel attempt to climb a pole, where I have hung fat balls for the wild birds.  He didn’t stop trying and each time he got a bit closer to the delicious cargo… never give up was the message I took from this little guy today.

How did I follow my intuition today (with what results?)

Today I felt like drawn to doing a Womb Clearing Ceremony, by Lisa Bardell.  Afterwards I felt uplifted and less cranky!

What Physical Changes are taking place?

Each day I have more resilience and mental clarity.

Daily check in questions:

What difference did this Challenge Make to my day?

I feel more resilient and more in tune with myself.

How is this challenge helping me achieve my goals?

I am becoming clearer on where I waste time and becoming clearer on where to put the effort in.

How is this challenge impacting my relationships with nature, myself, and other relationships?

Listening, I am listening to myself more and responding to my own personal needs.

21 Day Cacao Challenge – Welcome to Week 3 (Day 15)

Text to Speech

Over the last two weeks I have really been enjoying connecting with Cacao and learning more about her history, which has deepened my connection to this Master Plant Medicine.  The Journey has given me so much more self-awareness, not only physically, but mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.  Cacao is definitely not woowoo, as they say the proof is in the pudding, in this case the proof is in drinking the Cacao.

In the final week, we will be working more shamanically with this Plant Medicine and we will do this by focussing our attention outwarded and taking what have learnt in the last two weeks and putting it into practical action.

Cacao holds a lot of nutrients as we have already learnt in my previous blogs, but they also hold a lot of codes and keys to who we really are.

What is Plant Medicine Shamanism…

In our current way of living, we are disconnected from nature and the healing energy she provides.  Disease and disfunction has energetic origins and traditional healers believe thatthe beginnings of disease originate from an imbalance or disharmony in our emotional and spiritual bodies, which can be addressed by realigning ourselves with nature.   When we begin to understand our relationship with nature and how we operate within it, we can begin to heal.

Plant spirit shamanism brings us into balance and harmony, bringing awareness to the unity of all of life and of treating plants with love and respect.

Research shows plants are intelligence, and can see, hear, smell, and respond. If we treat plants with love, they flourish and grow.

Shamans from many traditions believe that plants can speak to us, they call to us, if we listen.

As my Cacao Teacher says, Plants and the Divine speak in paradoxes… and shit can get weird, so we need to get out of our own way, to hear what they have to say.

We can learn a lot through reclaiming the fact that we are nature.

Plants are inviting us to be in a dance with them so that we can sense the healing power of the Divine in them.  It’s simply up to us to heed their call.

I like what Rebekah says in her email:  When we transform from separation consciousness to unity consciousness, we automatically reconnect to nature, and live more symbiotically with the natural world. We also start making the right choices that will leave our planet healthy for future generations, which is our duty, as their ancestors. It is going to take a shift in consciousness, and a value system reset, to bring humanity and the planet back into balance.

For me, as a Shaman in training, Shamanism is a nature-based path, it’s about remembering our connection to nature and remembering that we are all one.  Shamans are facilitators of change, leading to living more harmoniously and helping birth the next step in raising humanities vibration.

Cacao is making herself known, in order to help us with a global shift.  She has much magic to share with us, if we approach her with humility and an empty cup, she will fill that cup to overflowing if we choose to imbibe her magic.

Rebekah shares in her email five of her Tenets of Plant Medicine Shamanism.  The one that really hit home for me and something we often lose sight of, is that we are the ancestors of the future generations (read that again!), and it is our duty to keep our planet healthy and thriving… however, I felt that there was more to the tenet, it goes deeper into healing our own personal wounds so that we do not hand down the wounds of the past to our future generations, we owe to our children’s children to pass down a more healed baton, than the one we received.

Daily Ritual for the final week, is to tune into Cacao for guidance when suddenly feeling triggered or stressed.  Most of don’t reach out for help as we are so self-sufficient, but we can simply connect in with our loving friend, Cacao for guidance.

The suggestion this week is that if I receive a strong message, or someone pops in my mind, contact them.  The idea here is to action on what your intuition or gut is telling me.  When we act on our intuition it, it’s like a muscle, it gets stronger.

And finally, to commit to the final stretch of this 21-day challenge.

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.

Daily Intention:

Today, the energy felt a bit heavy, so my intention was to find lightness and joy in my day.

What am I Grateful for today?

Video calls with my favourite Cousin and Spiritual Sister.

One thing today that made me feel ‘I Love my life’:

Again today, the amazing sound of heavy rain falling!

How did I follow my intuition today (with what results?)

By listening to the no and following through.

What Physical Changes are taking place?

My skin is glowing, and I feel more and more energised each day.  I have also noticed I am eating less junk food (not that I ate much before) and if I think of eating a bag of crisps my body gives me an immediate no.

Daily check in questions:

What difference did this Challenge Make to my day?

The challenge reminded me that we ebb and flow and that sometimes we just need to allow an emotion to wash over us and then let it go.

How is this challenge helping me achieve my goals?

The more I slow myself down, the more I seem to achieve, with a clearer mind.

How is this challenge impacting my relationships with nature, myself, and other relationships?

My relationship with myself is deepening and I am learning to say no to what does not serve me or does not vibe with me.

21 Day Cacao Challenge – Completion of Week 2 (Day 14)

Text to Speech Voices

Over the last two weeks, I can personally attest to the profound shifts that Cacao has had on me during this journey, from lovingly preparing a cup of cacao, to drinking it as part of my daily ritual practice….  Cacao has opened my heart and kept me centred as let go of the past, heal old wounds and step into reconnecting with my creativity and my soul path.

Our inner world is constantly bringing us messages, for growth, in the form of coincidences, or recurring themes.  By giving ourselves space to engage with life as it is, we can start to follow the breadcrumbs that life offers us.

As mentioned in yesterday’s blog, I am truly grateful for the resurgence of this powerful plant medicine that has been revered for centuries. The potentency of this healing and life sustaining elixr has the power to move mountains within us.

Cacao opens us up to be the magical beings that we are!

Rebekah mentions in her email that it at this point that we may get less involved int the challenge as we have already reached a more peaceful and focussed state; however, this is an important week to alchemise our stress and anxiety into a deeper peace and harmony.  This week is about going deeper and putting into practice what we have already learnt about Cacao.

Completion of Week 2 Ritual…was to fully bring our focus into our Heart Chakra after drinking our Cacao and being honest with ourselves on how our heart really feels and honour what we are feeling.

We were then guided to imagine a beautiful pink light to fill up our heart space with love and gratitude for our journey and to imagine this light increasing in strength until it overflows and starts to encompass our bodies.  And to just let this loving energy vibrate around us until we were glowing pink from within.  And finally, to send out love and gratitude for our blessings.

What a truly beautiful practice!

When everything seems too far away from you, don’t despair, return to yourself, return to the voice of your body.  Trust that much.

Daily Intention:

I read an interesting post on what shadow aspects do the men / women we are manifesting have.  No-one is perfect and whilst we can manifest our ideal person, we need to consider that they come with their own shadowy aspects.

My intention for today was to be curious about my own shadow and open to accepting we all have shadows and to approach each interaction today with love.

What am I Grateful for today?

I am grateful for this moment.  This moment of silence and introspection.

One thing today that made me feel ‘I Love my life’:

Being able to hear the sound to heavy rainfall.  It is such a soul soothing sound.

How did I follow my intuition today (with what results?)

Today, instead of trusting to remember a process I needed to complete, I got out of my head, slowed down, and let my intuition guide my steps.

What Physical Changes are taking place?

After having shingles earlier this year and then being diagnosed with adrenal fatigue.  Today is the first time in a very long time, my passion for lifting weights has been reignited.  My body is craving physical strength.

Daily check in questions:

What difference did this Challenge Make to my day?

This challenge is helped slow me down and trust myself.  I gave my first Reiki Attunement today and I got out of my head and trusted that I knew what was needed to facilitate the process.

How is this challenge helping me achieve my goals?

The challenge is grounding me and slowing me down, which is reconnecting me to my inner core and re-igniting my passion and confidence for what I do.,

How is this challenge impacting my relationships with nature, myself, and other relationships?

As I continue to slow down and reconnect with myself, I feel more connected and in tune with those around me.

21 Day Cacao Challenge – The Importance of Ceremonial Cacao (Day 13)

iSpeech.org

Why ceremonial grade Cacao…?

As mentioned in my previous blog, the industrial revolution would change how cacao would be processed and eventually go mainstream.

It was in 1828, that the Dutch Chemist and chocolate maker, Coenraad Van Houten, discovered a way to treat Cacao beans with alkaline salts to remove the bitter taste and make Cacao easier to dissolve in water, thus creating the ‘Dutch Process’.  Later, Coenraad’s father then developed an inexpensive way to separate cocoa butter from the cacao liquor, producing a cake that could then be pulverised into fine cocoa powder.

Today, Cocoa powder is processed at high heat, destroying much of the nutritional value of the cacao bean.   It is then milled into a powder and often alkalized during processing (Dutch-process) to reduce acidity, resulting in a less bitter and more palatable taste.

The way cocoa powder is manufactured, means it has lost most of its medicinal properties, by the time it reaches you in the form of a bar of chocolate or a cup of hot chocolate.  Over time this powerful superfruit and master plant teacher has been confined to the confectionary section of the supermarket having been commercialised and commoditised.

Ceremonial-Grade Cacao…

Ceremonial-grade cacao is made by fermenting and lightly toasting organic cacao beans.  The fermentation process is necessary for cultivating the flavour profile and activating certain natural compounds.  The beans are then cracked and peeled, (usually by hand), then stone ground by traditional methods to create a paste which is then set into a block.  Nothing is added, nothing is removed. The bean’s fat remains intact, helping to balance its stimulating properties and facilitate absorption over a longer period of time.

From tree to cup, ceremonial cacao is cultivated with intention, it is energetically pure and in alignment with the spirit of Cacao.

The hidden ingredient in your chocolate…

It is sad to say that the more cacao has become commoditised, exploitation has increased and the hidden ingredient in your chocolate is child slavery.

Big chocolate manufacturers signed up to a pledge to stop the extreme levels of child slave labour that was being seen in the chocolate industry.   In reality, they have broken their pledge and Mars, Nestlé and Hershey now face a child slavery lawsuit in the US.

Conscious Chocolate…

There has been a growing trend over the years for more ethical sourcing of cacao beans and creating sustainable relationships with suppliers.

I was having a look for conscious artisan chocolatiers and came across Conscious Chocolate and I loved that their business model ensures the welfare and health of their workforce.  The founder has strong values concerning the environment and health benefits of less processed diet.  Check them out… I know that's where I will be purchasing my decandent delights from!

Cacao is an essential aspect of my life and has played a large role in facilitating deep change over the last two years.  Her heart opening and grounding medicine is what we need to reconnect with ourselves and find balance in these challenging times!

Cacao is a space holder for what you’re meant to bring into the world – Erin Eber

Enjoy life… eat ethically sourced chocolate!

Daily Intention:

To be creative.

What am I Grateful for today?

I am grateful today for my editing skills, not only in Photoshop, but my newfound video editing and podcast editing skills!

One thing today that made me feel ‘I Love my life’:

The sunshine!  It was glorious to sit outside and soak up this life-giving source of energy,

How did I follow my intuition today (with what results?)

I decided to take a break from the slog of sitting at my laptop and head outside to lie in the sun.

What Physical Changes are taking place?

I have noticed my memory is much sharper and I feel more energised.

Daily check in questions:

What difference did this Challenge Make to my day?

I love the immediate sense of stillness and connection I feel when I start to prepare my cacao and then mindfully drinking my cacao with gratitude for the journey she has had to be here in her re-discovered form.

How is this challenge helping me achieve my goals?

I have stepped away from doing.  Whilst I still have things that need to be done, I believe she is teaching me not be distracted and to focus on the things that add value.

How is this challenge impacting my relationships with nature, myself and other relationships?

Whilst I still have moments of stress or stress being triggered by others, I am now able to shake it off quickly and refocus.
